Winter Picnic

It's been difficult to immerse myself in the spirit of winter with the sun beaming down in Los Angeles, so instead of yearning for the cold, a few friends and I have decided to embrace it. On Saturday mornings, we've started to pack a simple picnic breakfast and head to Griffith Park for a little noshing and conversation beside the creek; the perfect way to begin our weekend.

Ah, the grass is greener.... hello from Australia where I'm wishing for cooler weather! :) Griffith Park is a place I'd like to spend times like this when next we visit. I adore your friend's outfit and the beautiful candid moment you have captured.

I am a ny to la transplant, and I totally get yearning for the cold...mid 80s in winter is just something I can't get used to, So I do the same. Head to trails cafe, go for a hike, or drive up to malibu and spend a day at matador beach, followed by fish at neptune's net...it still feels like a vacation, and embracing it is the only way to go.
