The Citrus Grove

Over the holiday break, Aran decided to take her children on a visit to a citrus grove to pick oranges in their sunny hometown of Florida. Greeted by the entire family of a local orchard, they spent the day learning the lay of the land, picking the sweetest of fruits, and playing in the farm until nightfall. Back at home, they’ve been enjoying fresh citrus every morning.

I'd love to learn that technique for cutting citrus. Looks professional.
... and what a beautiful day trip to this orchard.

I admittedly just grab the closest bag of fruit at the supermarket, but I love the feel of this. The entire family of the orchard greeting and teaching about the fruit? Sounds wonderful. Thanks for sharing simple stories like these :)

Ha ha... I'm a California girl and grew up amongst citrus orchards. The first time I saw an apple on an apple tree I was 23, and it still amazes me! =) That looks like a grapefruit.

guys, not to be a jerk, but it's called a citrus grove. i think you might have to be born and raised floridian to know that, though. orchards are for things like apples and peaches.
