Salon Dinner

This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending the first in a series of Salon Dinners, hosted by Venice-based design studio, Ilan Dei, and partnered with pop-up dinner experts, Foodshop. The evening was certainly one to remember, taking place in Jessica Fleischmann’s Echo Park backyard amidst a magical setting of fruit trees and herbs with a string of white lights overhead. A family-style menu set the tone for conversation with a diverse crowd of folks, all with different stories to tell. Those who were strangers at the beginning of the meal became friends by the end of it. Complete with a storyteller, acoustic music set and a small exhibition of Jessica’s design work and inspirations, the event was truly a unique blend of creativity and community.
