Sometime ago, my friend and I went to my hometown to try out a new restaurant on little Fyn Island. Restaurant No. 61 opened my eyes. The interior design and the experience of the customer are very well thought out.
The kitchen bases their food on traditional Danish and European dishes. They use local, organic, and biodynamic products. Do not let the focus on quality fool you, it is not a pretentious fancy restaurant, its down to earth, and if you order a carrot, you will get a carrot.
The owner and chef, Martin Pilemark, has worked at Falsled Kro, Munkebo kro and served at the Crown Princes wedding in 2004. As for Restaurant No. 61, his goal is to bring something different to the table, stay down to earth, and focus on whole and organic products.
