María del Mar Sacasa is a food stylist and food writer based in New York City and Los Angeles. Her background is in film and fashion, both visual and tactile media that have influenced her way of seeing and approaching food. An avid cook and recipe developer, she is constantly in the kitchen and at restaurants, for work and pleasure. Born in Nicaragua and raised there as well as in Mexico City and Rome, she savors language and the raucous joy of meals shared around a crowded table.
